As a test of her loyalty, Sarah is tasked by Volkoff to break a dangerous villain called the Gobbler out of prison. Chuck, Casey, and Morgan help provide a distraction so that Sarah can escape with the Gobbler. Volkoff's next test requires Sarah to kill Casey, prompting a difficult decision on her part. Awesome tries to creatively convince Ellie that the baby name she's picked is a terrible one.

A tsunami warning leads to the discovery that a noted scientist has disappeared. McGarrett suspects that there may in fact be no tsunami and that the warnings are simply designed to trigger an evacuation and create a diversion for something else. The team realizes that the big event might in fact involve the supply of money that McGarrett had to steal from to save Chin's life.

Oscar and Pam do their best to help Erin defeat Gabe in online Scrabble.

Tracy's new life on camera further complicates his working relationship with Liz.
