Plot Synopsis
Det. Steve McGarrett is a decorated Naval officer-turned-cop who returns to Oahu to investigate his father's murder. While he's there, Hawaii's Governor persuades him to head up the state's brash new FIVE-0 unit, a new elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out crime on the Islands. McGarrett takes the job only because he has the Governor's backing, no red tape, and full blanket authority to hunt down the state's biggest criminals. McGarrett is joined by: Det. Danny 'Danno' Williams, a newly relocated ex-New Jersey cop who prefers skyscrapers to the coastline but is committed to keeping the Islands safe for his 8-year-old daughter; and Chin Ho Kelly, an ex-Honolulu Police Detective, and former protege of McGarrett's father, wrongly accused of corruption and relegated to a federal security patrol. Even as he's hunting down bad guys, McGarrett tries to bring closure to his father's case while repairing his relationship with his estranged sister Mary Ann. Chin's cousin, Kono, is a beautiful and fearless native, fresh out of the academy and eager to establish herself among the department's elite, but currently facing an investigation by Internal Affairs. Dr. Max Bergman is the quirky coroner who lacks social skills but has mad piano-playing skillz. At the end of Season 2, McGarret's mother returns, the team loses its Chief, and Kono was thrown into the water. Now, in Season 3, can Chin save Kono after his gut-wrenching decision? Plus, what will happen now that Steve found his mother? And how quickly will the team track down Wo Fat and Delano for killing an important member of their family?
For its fourth season, this series moves to Fridays at 9pm ET/PT on CBS, with the Season 4 premiere on September 27, 2013. In the season opener, McGarrett and Wo Fat narrowly escape from maximum security, and gunmen storm Five-0 headquarters, compromising Kono and Adam's secret location in Hong Kong and forcing McGarrett to break the law -- and turn on his own -- in order to find a kidnapped Catherine.

Also, Tani wrestles with whether or not she will tell McGarrett about the murder weapon she found at Adam's house.
