After masked men try to steal his father's box, Steve discovers that Mary Ann has been kidnapped. He quickly learns that his investigation into his mother's death is the reason for it, and after rescuing his sister, he sets out to take down a powerful gangster. He clashes with the governor when she reveals a close friendship and professional relationship with him.

When Jim saves a stranger from being hit by a bus, he makes a new friend, Dave Cotten, and subsequently tries to stop an art thief, only to realize that the two may in fact be the same person. Daphne and JJ befriend the Cotten kids, and Stephanie gets close with Dave's wife. When Katie reveals that she is a virgin, the Watcher tells Dr. King he can't go through with his plan anymore.

MODERN FAMILY – "Slow Down Your Neighbors" (1/5/11)

Claire launches a campaign of shame against a person constantly speeding through the neighborhood, and Phil is horrified to discover that it's a big client of his whose home he really needs to sell. Jay teaches Manny and Gloria how to ride a bike, with differing levels of success. Luke fares better with Gloria. Cameron and Mitchell make a friend in their curious new neighbor Barry.
