Ellen travels to find the woman who she thinks might be her birth mother only to discover surprising facts about her own family's past. Upon her return, Ellen is admonished by both Patty and Gates for interfering in the case. Patty takes out her anger towards Ellen by yelling at Tom and firing Alex. Terry tries to get inside Frobisher's head while Joe considers permanently dealing with Tessa. | ||||

When a paparazzo captures a dying marine on camera, the team looks into his unit to find out how he died. Sam competes against a wannabe marine for a slot left open by the marine's death at a local marine-only gym, and is surprised to learn that he is in fact an undercover police officer. The local police department and NCIS butt heads over how to proceed with the case. | ||||

A jury deliberates over the case of a young woman accused of killing another student at a sorority party while Will and Alicia struggle to figure out a way to defend her. In the process, they deal with increasingly awkward moments of sexual tension. Diane is courted by ballistics expert Kurt McVeigh despite their opposite politics, and their romance has an unexpected effect on their case. | ||||

Chance is hired to protect a princess from Wales who has fallen in love with an American. Her security team is vigilantly dedicated to honoring the sanctity of the crown, and Chance must work with the princess' loyal protector Gerard and the princess herself to find a way to get to the queen and expose the activities of the conspirators. Winston and Guerrero protect the princess' new love. | ||||
