Plot Synopsis

Executive produced and written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring, this series is a dark, coming-of-age, horror-tinged drama that's miles away from Rosewood, but within the PRETTY LITTLE LIARS universe -- in a brand-new town, with a new generation of Little Liars. Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in present day, a disparate group of teen girls find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin committed by their parents two decades ago...as well as their own. The first three episodes of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN dropped on Thursday, July 28, 2022 on HBO Max, with two more episodes debuting on the following two Thursdays (Aug 4 & 11), followed by the final three installments on Thursday, August 18.

Following the harrowing events of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN, the Pretty Little Liars face a fate worse than death -- summer school. Season 2, titled PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: SUMMER SCHOOL, reveals that Millwood High isn't the only thing getting in the way of their fun summer jobs and new, dreamy love interests. A new villain, who may or may not have a connection to A, has come to town and is going to put them all to the test. In the season opener, "Chapter Eleven: Spookyspaghetti.com," it's six months after The Millwood Massacre, and the girls eagerly await a verdict in A's trial -- as well as a much-needed break -- until a failed exam condemns them to summer school. PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN debuted on Thursday, May 9, 2024 on Max, which released the first two episodes. A new installment dropped weekly on Thursdays through June 20.

On Thursday, June 20, 2024, Max released "Chapter Eighteen: Final Exam," the season finale of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN. The PLLs take a final stab at their list of suspects, and through a harrowing night will discover the identity of Bloody Rose Waters once and for all.
