Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Alton Brown and set in the newly renovated Kitchen Stadium, each standalone episode of IRON CHEF SHOWDOWN pits two up-and-coming chef competitors against each other, with one earning the right to face a legendary Iron Chef and answer the question: "whose cuisine reigns supreme?" The Chairman (Mark Dacascos) and floor reporter Jaymee Sire join Alton as the culinary drama unfolds in each one-hour episode, with Iron Chefs Bobby Flay, Jose Garces, Alex Guarnaschelli, Michael Symon and newest member Stephanie Izard each taking on talented, determined challengers. In the series opener, "Big Thanksgiving Battle," Florida chef Lindsay Autry tries to stuff Chicago chef Matt Kerney over ingredients from America's favorite holiday. The winner faces Iron Chef Bobby Flay in a tense showdown judged by John Besh and Antonia Lofaso.

On Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered "Battle Bobby Flay All Day," the season finale of IRON CHEF SHOWDOWN. Midwestern masters Chef Tory Miller and Chef Jenner Tomaska face off using one of the most versatile vegetables around. Then the winner takes on Iron Chef Bobby Flay in an all-American meat battle.
