On Friday at Comic-Con 2012, Ballroom 20 was the place for TV fans. The day kicked off with the COMMUNITY panel, followed shortly after by a much-anticipated session to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of FIREFLY and then the fan-favorite BONES panel with executive producer Stephen Nathan and stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel. Instead of hanging around the ballroom, I ran over to Room 6BCF to attend the early evening session for SPARTACUS: WAR OF THE DAMNED, which had a few surprises.
I thought I'd share a few of my photos from the day to give you a glimpse of the craziness of Comic-Con 2012 for TV fans.
Danny Pudi (left), Gillian Jacobs (center) and Alison Brie (right)
were overwhelmed by COMMUNITY’s loyal fanbase.
Yvette Nicole Brown is excited that Jeff and Shirley are getting more scenes together on COMMUNITY.
Cast and producers of COMMUNITY, including Joel McHale (second from right) and
Yvette Nicole Brown (far right), revealed that next season the series
will introduce Jeff’s much-talked-about father.
Nathan Fillion was given a rock-star welcome at the FIREFLY panel.
FIREFLY's creator, Joss Whedon, was greeted like a superhero
fresh off his success with THE AVENGERS.
FIREFLY star Adam Baldwin said he made the choice to wear Jayne’s famous
orange knit cap in the series last episode.
Summer Glau was the only female cast member who attended the
FIREFLY 10-year anniversary reunion.
Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion stole the show with old fashioned radio style version of FIREFLY.
BONES executive producer Stephen Nathan (left) likes to make the dead bodies as revolting as possible, while Emily Deschanel (center) says she's become desensitized to dead bodies.
BONES star David Boreanaz (right) thinks it’s the relationships that sets the show apart from other procedurals.
Executive producer Stephen Nathan (left) calls the show a "crimedy" because of its humor.
Emily Deschanel explained Brennan’s decision to go on the run in the BONES finale. She also revealed
she hadn't read Kathy Reich's books before she started the show
and thinks of Brennan as the character before the books.
Executive producer Steven S. DeKnight (left) with stars Manu Bennett (center) and
Liam McIntyre (right) let fans in on the comedy behind the scenes of SPARTACUS.
One fan asked the SPARTACUS panel about their favorite scenes.
Producer Steven S. DeKnight (left) says his favorite scene was the death of Varro and, of course, Manu naked.
Liam McIntyre's (right) favorite scene is when Glaber finds out Illythia wants to kill their baby.
Manu Bennett's (center) favorite scene is when Ashur killed Barca.
After receiving a standing ovation during her surprise entrance, Lucy Lawless (right) revealed that
Producer Steven S. DeKnight (not pictured) told her from the beginning of Season 2 of SPARTACUS
that Lucretia was criminally insane.
