Plot Synopsis

Based on Imran Mahmood 2017 novel of the same name, YOU DON'T KNOW ME is a four-part miniseries that is a story told by a defendant in a dock, giving a speech to the jury. When all the evidence points towards his guilt, Hero, a man on trial for murder, uses his closing argument to recount his love affair with a mysterious woman. When Hero dismisses his barrister and speaks directly to the jury himself, he describes his transformative relationship with his girlfriend Kyra. After he locates Kyra, Hero discovers the harrowing truth behind her mysterious disappearance, coming into conflict with Jamil in the process. Owing a sizable debt to Jamil and not having much time to pay it back, Hero turns to an old friend for help, whose risky plan might save the day. With Jamil recuperating in the hospital and plotting revenge, Hero and his cohorts scramble to find a way out of their predicament. The entire four-episode series made its U.S. debut on Friday, June 17, 2022 on Netflix.
