XTREME WATERPARKS returned for its third season on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT on Travel Channel with a special, one-hour premiere. In the season opener, Building the World's Tallest," this series goes behind-the-scenes of the making of the world's tallest water slide, Schlitterbahn's Verruckt in Kansas City, KS. At 168-feet, 7 inches, Verruckt is the Guinness World Record holder for the tallest water slide on the planet. Season 3 consisted of four half-hour episodes and two, one-hour special episodes. On Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT, Travel Channel premiered the fourth season of XTREME WATERPARKS with a special one-hour season opener in New Zealand chronicling the building of the world's longest waterslide at 2,000 feet. From the newest, tallest body slide in North America, to a South Pacific island slide that can't be ridden without the village chief's blessing, Season 4 goes where no water park show has gone before. Season 5 of XTREME WATERPARKS premiered on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT on Travel Channel. The season opener, "Sliding with Sharks," takes a voyage to experience a shark-infested slide in the Canary Islands. Then, the night's second new episode (9:30pm), "Texas Typhoon," rides through the belly of Aquaconda in Dubai before Typhoon Texas makes landfall in Katy, Texas. Then take in the views at the Citta del Mare Hotel as their toboggan to the sea drops you straight into the Mediterranean.
