Plot Synopsis

WYATT EARP AND THE COWBOY WAR is a six-episode docudrama that uses re-enactments to explore the legendary feud between Wyatt Earp and Ike Clanton, culminating with the gunfight that defined an era. The series opens in Arizona in 1881, where a stagecoach robbery with international consequences leads to a showdown between the Earp brothers and the Clanton-McLaury Cowboys. In the wake of the gunfight, a disgraced Ike Clanton attempts to sway public opinion by branding the Earps and Doc Holliday as cold-blooded killers. Facing murder charges, the Earps and Doc Holliday work with a lawyer to prove their innocence. As news of the case spreads, the country takes sides. After a major courtroom defeat, the Cowboys hatch a plan to ambush Tombstone and regain power. Lacking faith in the Arizona legal system, Wyatt takes the law into his own hands and embarks on a headline-making vigilante crusade against Ike Clanton.
