Plot Synopsis

WRESTLING WITH DEATH is a half-hour reality series that follows The Lathams of Osceola, Arkansas: morticians by day who run The Wilson Funeral Home, and professional wrestlers by night who run The Mid-Southern Championship Wrestling League. LaFonce is the patriarch of the Latham family and owns ten businesses in Osceola, including three funeral homes and the Mid-Southern Champion Wrestling arena. His wife, Sandra, is the financial manager for the funeral home and retired from wrestling as the MCW Women's Champion after being diagnosed with cancer eight years ago -- but now she is cancer free and back in the ring. The series opens with LaFonce planning Ms. Sandra's return to the MCW ring, but Sandra is not so sure -- and then she threatens to keep Harry out of the ring when he takes it too far during practice.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, WGN America premiered the Season 1 finale of WRESTLING WITH DEATH. In the season ender, "Changes," LaFonce books celebrity wrestler Koko B. Ware to headline this week's show. Then, at 10:30pm ET/PT, WGN America debuted "The Best of Wrestling with Death," a half-hour special during which the Lathams celebrate LaFonce's 65th birthday.
