Plot Synopsis

WORKING THE ROOM is a half-hour home makeover series that follows highly-regarded interior designers as they work closely with their clients to makeover a room in desperate need of transformation. Featuring Nathan Turner, Mat Sanders and Tiffany Riggle (with help from her husband Rob Riggle), each 30-minute episode of WORKING THE ROOM brings to life each designer's creative process, including how they choose items to help anchor each reimagined space from Sotheby's Home, the online consignment marketplace specializing in vintage furniture, decorative objects and accessories. The three episodes in this series include:

"Tropical Bedroom Getaway" (Thursday, May 9): Matt and Karen's bedroom has been neglected for more than 15 years. It's filled with old furniture from their law school days, broken window shades and carpeting that has to go. Now designer to the stars, Nathan Turner, will attempt to transform the space from drab to tropical fab on a budget of $20,000. Can he and Karen agree on the design so he can complete the project on time and on budget?

"Blank to Swank Living Room" (Thursday, May 16): Ben and Michelle's living room is overrun with toys and mismatched furniture. They call it the "runway" because it's empty except for the toys. So celebrity designer Mat Sanders will use all of his powers to completely remodel and re-imagine the room as a sleek, stylish place for $20,000. But Michelle isn't so sure of his design choices.

"Man Cave to Family Lounge" (Thursday, May 23): A garage becomes a cluttered man cave filled with dusty old toys, sporting gear and a dilapidated pool table; designer Tiffany Riggle and her husband, actor/comic Rob Riggle, try to take the space from frat boy hangout to a sleek couple's lounge.
