Nightmare of the Wolf Season 1 Season 2 Season 3
Plot Synopsis
Based on Andrzej Sapkowski's book series of the same name, THE WITCHER is a one-hour fantasy drama series tells an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward powerful sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg and young Princess Ciri, who has a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together. The series opens with hostile townsfolk and a cunning mage greeting Geralt in the town of Blaviken. Ciri finds her royal world upended when Nilfgaard sets its sights on Cintra. Bullied and neglected, Yennefer accidentally finds a means of escape. Geralt's hunt for a so-called devil goes to hell. Ciri seeks safety in numbers. On Friday, December 20, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire eight-episode first season of THE WITCHER.
On Monday, August 23, 2021, Netflix released "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf," an 83-minute animated special of THE WITCHER. Escaping from poverty to become a witcher, Vesemir slays monsters for coin and glory, but when a new menace rises, he must face the demons of his past. This origin story comes from THE WITCHER showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, writer Beau DeMayo and Studio Mir.
Netflix released the entire eight-episode second season of THE WITCHER on Friday, December 17, 2021. Convinced Yennefer's life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent's kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.
Season 3 of THE WITCHER debuted on Thursday, June 29, 2023 on Netflix, which released the first five episodes of the new season. As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri's magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl's untapped powers; instead, they discover they've landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line - or risk losing each other forever.

After the fateful events at Aretuza, Geralt and Yennefer struggle to pick up the pieces and reunite their family as war comes to the Continent.
