Plot Synopsis

WIN THE WILDERNESS is a one-hour competition reality series that features six couples vying to prove they've got the survival skills to win the deed to an extraordinary home deep in the vast, rugged wilderness of Alaska. Situated over 100 miles from the nearest road, the three-story property is the home and legacy of Duane and Rena Ose, the married couple who spent over 30 years building it. Now both in their 70s, and with their children unable to take it on, the Oses are searching for a couple to inherit their life's work. The season opens at base camp, where the couples must construct shelters to save themselves from hypothermia -- and compete for a night with the Oses at their mountain home. Then, split up by gender, the couples test their critical orienteering skills. As the winners fly to Ose Mountain, the rest get schooled in firearms. After working together to create a sled dog trail, another couple choppers to Ose Mountain while the rest learn how to kill and field-dress a bison. WIN THE WILDERNESS had its U.S. premiere on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire six-episode first season.
