Plot Synopsis

Using dramatic recreations and in-depth interviews with survivors, WILL TO LIVE showcases real stories of people who have faced -- and lived through -- life-threatening and life-changing situations. Each 30-minute episode highlights one survivor who showed a will to live, including: Gladys Wade, who survived a violent attack and attempted rape by an unknown assailant; Yvette Cade, who survived being set on fire by her ex-husband and is now an applauded spokeswoman for the cause of spousal abuse; Rasul "Rocky" Clark, who broke his neck playing high school football, and after his personal struggle with paralysis, he continues to inspire others; Officer Kennedy Murray, the point man during the take-down with a wanted felon, took a life-threatening bullet in the line of duty, and after refusing medical retirement, he helps officers recover emotionally and mentally from similar trauma; and many more people who inspire others with their stories.
