Plot Synopsis

WILD SOUTH WEST is a one-hour documentary series that reveals how wildlife survives seemingly inhospitable landscapes in the American Southwest, which, in less then 100 miles, includes the lowest and hottest point to the highest and coldest peak in the lower 48 contiguous states. From the fur-clad bears on the treeless mountain tops of Big Bend National Park to the 20 million bats that pour out of Bracken Cave every night to form the largest concentrations of mammals on the planet, this series explores the daily struggle of animals that must be both tough and creative to survive.
