Plot Synopsis

This reality series follows music superstar Shania Twain as she embarks on her tour of sharing and healing, hoping she can find a way to rediscover her voice -- and her confidence. Feeling the pressures of superstardom, Twain last released an album in 2004 because she was slowly losing confidence in her abilities, and her world fell apart in 2008 when her husband, Robert "Mutt" Lange, left her and later married their good friend Marie-Anne Thiebaud. Now, she's ready to face her emotional issues and once again find joy in songwriting and singing. Shortly after marrying Frederic Thiebaud, a Nestle executive in Switzerland, on January 1, 2011, Twain visits her hometown and then embarks on a cross-country trip with her bandmates while meeting with vocal doctors, vocal coaches, a grief counselor and music industry icons like Gladys Knight, Lionel Richie and David Foster. On May 3, 2011 -- just days before this series premiered -- Twain's book, "From This Moment On," was released, in which she discusses her tragic childhood, her family bonds and her courageous sacrifices to keep her family together after her parents were killed in a car accident.
