Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Dany Garcia, WHO KILLED WCW? is a one-hour docuseries that dives deep into the history, rise, and ultimate demise of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), one of the most influential promotions in the history of wrestling. The series explores the complex factors that led to the promotion's downfall, including management challenges, creative decisions, and the intense competition during the infamous Monday Night Wars. Featuring exclusive, in-depth interviews with wrestlers, executives, and insiders, the series will shed light never seen before on the personal stories and struggles of those who lived through the rise and fall of WCW.

The four episodes are:

"Where the Big Boys Play" (Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 10pm): Through a series of unlikely events, brash young salesman Eric Bischoff lands control of WCW and aligns with star Hulk Hogan to create a '90s pop culture phenomenon.

"The Streak Is Over" (Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 10pm): Now the most popular wrestling company on television, WCW hits choppy waters as the show's main event stars put their own interests and egos ahead of what's best for the company.

"New Blood" (Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10pm): WWF writer Vince Russo is hired to help save WCW; the brazen New Yorker clashes with the company's top stars; WCW enters an ominous downward spiral.

"The Final Nitro" (Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 10pm): The curtain falls on WCW as the cast and crew gather to produce one last episode of Nitro, and the dust settles on the fallout of the worst corporate merger of all time.
