Plot Synopsis

A group of seven people, who first met in 1965 and once shared the same flat, return to their former home in 2012 when one of them dies, triggering memories of their 37-year shared journey of discovery, love and betrayal. The former flatmates slowly arrive at their deceased friend's now-vacant apartment, where the whole group first lived together in the mid-1960s. As each person returns, the series chronologically reveals the group's history with a backdrop of important world events of the time, such as a violent anti-Vietnam War demonstration in the late '60s and an IRA bombing campaign in London in 1973. The identity of the deceased is not revealed until the sixth and final episode when the last surviving friend arrives. BBC America aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 10pm ET.
