Plot Synopsis

A devoted group of whisker warriors, known as Beard Team USA, travel across America competing for top bearding honors as they prepare for the World Championship Competition in Trondhjem, Norway. In an effort to improve their international standing, more than 80 local U.S. chapters came together to form the ultimate American bearding team, including: self-appointed captain Phil Olsen, who tries to build the underdog team and then has to keep it together when his motives come into question; two-time World Champion in the Full Beard Natural category, Jack Passion, who wants to become the first professional beardsman; last year's national champion Aarne Bielefeldt; the Gotham City Beard Alliance's Myk O'Connor; and president of the Austin Facial Hair Club, Bryan Nelson. In Season 2, which premiered on Friday, November 23, 2012, the Austin Facial Hair Club -- led by Bryan Nelson, Allen Demling, Alex LaRoche and Miletus Callahan?Barile -- crafts an ambitious plan to establish themselves and their beards at the top of the competitive circuit at the season's premiere event, the German National Championship in Bad Schussenried. Plus, former world champion Jack Passion must decide whether to stand alone and fight his way back to the top or step back from the pressures of competitive bearding for good.
