Plot Synopsis

WHERE WE CALL HOME is a short-form series that features unconventional and commercial properties that have been redesigned as modern homes. Each 10-minute episode features a different home, including: a barn in Medina, OH; a schoolhouse in Northern California; a firehouse in Portland, OR; a school bus (and treehouse) in Kauai, HI; and more. The first four episodes of WHERE WE CALL HOME dropped on Thursday, July 15, 2021 on discovery+ and the Magnolia app, the day that it launched. Two new episodes debuted each Friday from July 23 through August 6. WHERE WE CALL HOME made its linear television on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 6-6:30pm ET on DIY Network, as the cable channel packaged three online episodes into a single half-hour program.

The sophomore season of WHERE WE CALL HOME debuted on Friday, June 17, 2022, as the Magnolia app released two new episodes. In the season opener, "The Billiard Hall," a couple reveals how they turned a historic billiard hall into their home. Then, in the second episode, "The Laundry," a couple details how they converted a commercial laundry into their home.
