Plot Synopsis
Collector Mike Brewer and a top mechanic search for vehicles they can buy on a budget, restore and then sell to new owners for a profit. The pair has purchased and sold a Porsche 924, an Austin Mini MK1, a BMW E30 325i Touring, a Lotus Espris S3, and many more highly-desired vehicles. In Season 5, which was renamed WHEELER DEALERS ON THE ROAD, Mike and Edd left the UK and traveled around Europe to look for six bargains, each with a five-thousand pound budget.
Velocity aired the U.S. premiere of Season 5 on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 9pm ET, showing the first two 30-minute episodes as a single one-hour program. On Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 9-11pm ET/PT, Velocity aired the Season 12 premiere of WHEELER DEALERS, showing back-to-back new episodes immediately following an all-day marathon (3am-9pm). This season, WHEELER DEALERS, chases the American dream for the first time as Mike and Edd establish their shop in the most exciting and competitive car market in the world. From the sunny beaches of California to the coldest edges of Maine, the guys hunt coast-to-coast for the best vehicles to buy, restore, test and sell for a tidy profit.
Velocity premiered the fourteenth season of WHEELER DEALERS on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT, with new master mechanic Ant joining Mike Brewer. From their southern California shop, automotive valuation expert Mike Brewer and new master mechanic and fabricator Ant Anstead go to work finding, fixing and flipping a wide variety of unique used cars from manufacturers in Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and the United States. Season 14 opens with an expanded, supersized 70-minute episode that features Mike buying a 1995 Ford Escort RS Cosworth. The Cosworth is extremely hard to find in America as only 25 were imported into the U.S.A. and of that 25 only 12 are registered for driving on the road. Originally designed to qualify as a car for the World Rally Championship the Cosworth was the obsession of would-be rally racers worldwide. Ant can hardly believe his eyes when Mike drives the car into the workshop and can't wait to get under the hood to diagnose and repair what ails the Cosworth's lackluster engine.
A new season of WHEELER DEALERS premiered on Velocity on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 9p ET/PT. This season, Mike is hunting down a variety of gently used cars then handing the keys off to Ant for a bumper-to-bumper refurbishment before trying to sell the cars for a healthy profit. This season features a wealth of incredible rides including: a 1969 Opel GT; a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer; a 2004 Mini Cooper S MC40; a 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio; a 1970 International Harvester Scout 800A; and much more.
Velocity premiered a new season of WHEELER DEALERS on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "1976 Mercury Capri MK2," Mike finds a rare beast; a 1976 Mark 2 Mercury Capri with the classic 2.8 liter Cologne V6. It's not without its problems, which means Ant has to completely overhaul the engine, the interior, and his own design upgrade.
