WELCOME TO MURDERTOWN is a one-hour docuseries that follows the baffling murder mysteries where it's not just one person who's hiding something -- it's everybody. From small towns and tight-lipped communities to tight-knit families, this series unravels the cases where police don't just have to crack the case, they need to penetrate a wall of silence too. In the series opener, "One Hot Summer," 14-year-old Christie Mullins is murdered in Clintonville, Ohio. The murder is unsolved for 40 years until a young woman comes forward to identify her uncle as the killer. He is revealed to have a surprising connection to his victim.

On Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the season finale of WELCOME TO MURDERTOWN. In the season ender, "Buried Deep," 23-year-old Sherry Leighty disappears from Altoona, PA, leaving her three small children behind. After a 13-year search, her sister discovers the rumor she skipped town with a new boyfriend is a lie, and people close to Sherry have been hiding a dark secret.
