Plot Synopsis

WELCOME BACK POTTER is a half-hour reality series that follows actress, entrepreneur and mother Monica Potter, as she returns to Cleveland to renovate her childhood home near the shore of Lake Erie with the help of her mom, Nancy, and three outspoken sisters, Jessica, Brigette and Kerry. The family sold the home in 1987, but it sat abandoned and in disrepair for the last five years. For Monica, restoring the 1,800 square-foot family home that was built in 1924 is something that she and her family can work on together. The series opens with Monica, her sisters and mother walking through the home to discover little has changed since they left -- everything from the rickety front steps, old wallpaper, furniture and even childhood mementos -- were still there. But the family is eager to renovate the home and make it a place they can gather for special occasions and holidays. With help from a construction team, the sisters demolish walls and tear out the old cabinets and appliances to create an open-concept kitchen and dining area. With decor items from Monica's local shop, Monica Potter Home, fresh paint, new cabinetry, and a custom-made lighting feature created by Monica and her youngest sister Kerry, the combined rooms are transformed into a beautiful, airy and inviting space.

On Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 11pm-Midnight ET/PT, HGTV premiered the season finale of WELCOME BACK POTTER. In the night's first new episode (11pm), "Front Porch and Garage Restoration," Monica and her sisters restore the front porch, adding curb appeal back to the front of the house. They also build a new garage workspace to pay tribute to their late father. Monica restores his old workbench while Kerry and Brigette work on a new porch swing. Then, in the season finale (11:30pm), "Country Backyard and Home Office," as their home renovation approaches completion, Monica and her sisters work to restore their backyard to the country oasis they remember. They install a new brick walkway and patio as well as build stacking planters for a veggie garden. Back inside the house, Brigette and Monica install a Murphy bed in a guest bedroom so the space can double as a home office.
