Plot Synopsis

Dr. Fiona Wallice -- a self-professed psychotherapist with no degree, license or training -- uses weekly, three-minute webcam sessions to treat her patients. Each session costs only $25, but Fiona spends more time talking about herself instead of listening to, and helping, patients with problems. Her patients are portrayed by guest stars, with each performer following a script framework but ad-libbing the details, allowing these celebs to shine: Jane Lynch, Courteney Cox and Rashida Jones in Season 1; Alan Cumming, David Schwimmer and Conan O'Brien (as himself) in Season 2; and Season 3 guests Steve Carell, Billy Crystal, Chelsea Handler, Matt LeBlanc, Meg Ryan, Megan Mullally, and Sara Gilbert. In Season 2, Fiona played the woman-behind-the-man in her husband Kip's political campaign, while juggling her burgeoning career as an author and continuing to advise the hapless clients who have wandered into her web. Season 3 found Fiona continuing to offer therapy to her hapless clients while coming to terms with the new landscape of her own life: her politically disgraced husband, Kip, has run off with his male campaign manager; her mother has started up a rival business called Net Therapy and has poached Fiona's assistant, Jerome, to run it; her romantic friendship with media-mogul Austen is on the rocks, now that he has fathered a child with hyper-sexualized Gina; Fiona is being investigated for campaign finance improprieties; and her unpublished manuscript is being adapted into a Broadway musical without her consent. Season 3 premiered on Showtime on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11pm ET/PT. WEB THERAPY returned for its fourth season on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11pm ET/PT on Showtime. In Season 4, it seems everyone has achieved the fame and fortune that Fiona has been striving for, except Fiona herself. Her husband Kip has been appointed to a prestigious judgeship, her mother Putsy is basking in the success of a bestselling expose, her old assistant Jerome and secretary Gina are now undeserving trust-fund millionaires. Striving to reverse this trend and get the recognition she so rightly deserves, Fiona rebrands her modality, expands her Web Therapy franchise, and begins "treating" an increasingly crazy set of new clients, many of whom fail to grasp that when the doctor is in, what can you do for her? Plus, the fourth season features guest stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Jon Hamm, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Matthew Perry (the fourth consecutive "Friend" to appear on the series), Allison Janney, Lauren Graham, Craig Ferguson, Calista Flockhart, Dax Shephard, and "Marie Claire" Creative Director Nina Garcia. Additionally, series co-creator, executive producer and Emmy Award winner Dan Bucatinsky reprises his role as Fiona's old assistant Jerome, along with returning guest stars Billy Crystal, Lily Tomlin, Rashida Jones, Victor Garber, Julie Claire, Jennifer Elise Cox and Tim Bagley.

Tonight (January 28, 2015) at 11pm ET/PT, Showtime premieres the "Fiona Fulfilled" episode of WEB THERAPY. In the Season 4 finale, Kip's political plans are dashed by Fiona's scandal; Jerome's involvement in Putsy's schemes puts him on the run; Gina returns from rehab a completely new woman; and Jenny lobs a grenade into Fiona's past that will upend things forever. Plus, Christina Applegate guest stars as Jenny Bologna, a "fixer" from Boston who contacts Fiona to offer her damage control services after the NSA scandal -- and reveals a troubling secret that upends Fiona's world.
