Plot Synopsis

Created by Leticia Lopez Margalli, WE WERE KINGS is a drama series that centers on a tight-knit crew of three reigns over a bustling barrio in Mexico City -- until a sudden tragedy breaks their crowns and renders two of them rivals. The trio -- Javo, Mike, and Santos -- grew up together in the Mexico City neighborhood of Iztapalapa, but a forbidden love triangle will lead these young friends to reformulate everything they believe about happiness, family, and love. All six episodes of WE WERE KINGS dropped on Friday, September 27, 2024 on Netflix.
