Plot Synopsis

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT AMERICA is a half-hour series that features commentary from actors and comedians discussing the latest in American culture, including gender reveals, eating contests, over the top proposals, social media anything, and more. American culture can seem wild and weird -- especially from the perspective of first-generation and bicultural comedians, who share their sharp witted, honest reactions to American oddities and more. In the premiere episode "Gotta Swipe Right," first-generation comedians put life hacks on trial, expose the secrets of Area 51, plus viewers will get relationship advice from Zainab Johnson. The next episode, "Where Did People Get All These Milk Crates?" have the comedians watch embarrassing social media challenges and learn why period blood is the secret to looking young. The series features a lineup of diverse talent including; Chinedu Unaka, Tim Chantarangsu, Sherry Cola, Paul Elia, Zainab Johnson, Crystal Marie-Denha, Aida Rodriguez, Marcella Arguello, Percy Rustomiji, Jesus Trejo, and more.

The sophomore season of WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT AMERICA premiered on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT on Fuse. Airing in two parts, the 10-episode season features commentary from first-generation comics: Chinedu Unaka, Tim Chantarangsu, Sherry Cola, Jesus Trejo, Marcella Arguello, Danielle Perez, Dumbfoundead, Simmi Singh, Robin Tran, Fahim Anwar, and Drea Okeke. The season opener, "The American Rat Race," breaks down American work culture: Chinedu Unaka reunites with his first boss; Sherry Cola visits her parents' restaurant; quitting goes viral.

After a 4.5-month break, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT AMERICA returned with new episodes on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 11:30pm ET/PT on Fuse. The mid-season premiere, "Go Baptize Yourself," tackles American sports culture, while Tim Chantarangsu learns Muay Thai; and Jesus Trejo takes on the NCAA in a B-Ball challenge and a pint-sized hockey rumble.
