Plot Synopsis
VET SCHOOL is a one-hour reality series that follows first- and fourth-year students in veterinary medicine at Cornell University as they learn to operate on, diagnose and treat animals in need with the help of technicians, residents and professors. These vet students do everything -- learning how to milk cows, examining an orange DSH cat in the ER, and feeding dairy calves during their barn chores -- because they have to learn how to care for hundreds of species. Hannah Brodlie, Cristina Bustamante and Dan Cimino are first-year students who love animals and learning, but they are negotiating a steep learning curve on the road to becoming licensed vets. Hannah has worked in vet offices for years and wants nothing more than to be around animals all the time. Cristina is an international student from Colombia who looks forward to working with dogs day in and day out. Dan hopes to specialize in surgery. Singen Elliott, Aziza Glass, and Aria Hill are fourth-year students who are about to begin their professional careers. Aziza still struggles with her emotional investment in patients, Aria continues to work harder than ever before, and Singen dreams of becoming a large-animal surgeon.

On Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, Nat Geo Wild premiered the season finale of VET SCHOOL, shortly after a seven-hour marathon (1-8pm) of encore episodes. In the season ender, "The Final Exam," a turkey comes in for treatment on a large lump on his chest that, according to the sanctuary where he lives, is making him aggressive. Meanwhile, fourth-year student Aziza helps Davies, a schnauzer with an alarmingly slow heart rate. The team realizes they need to get Davies into surgery as soon as possible to implant a pacemaker. The first-year students are extremely busy preparing for their year-end final. They're using every trick in the book to understand the material, but they are running out of time to prepare. Will they learn the material well enough to get through the exam? And, finally, the group of fourth-year students -- Sam, Singen, Aria and Aziza -- get to officially add the words "Doctor of Veterinary Medicine" to their names as they graduate from Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine.
