Plot Synopsis

Hosted by NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suarez, UNITED WE DRIVE is a half-hour docuseries that explores the unique ways genuine friendships have been forged over a shared love of collector cars. In car culture, there are many subcultures that reflect diverse tastes, styles and attitudes, yet regardless of these differences, when car enthusiasts come together a shared love of cars overtakes all other differences. An almost immediate, mutual respect is ignited, genuine interest and in many cases, lasting bonds are often forged. This series reveals stories about special collector cars that ignited their friendships. UNITED WE DRIVE premiered on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 10-11pm, as FYI debuted back-to-back episodes:

"Unlikely Friendships" (10pm): In the Bay Area and Houston, a love of classic cars leads to some unlikely friendships: a bond between an 80-year-old truck driver from Alabama and a young executive; a '79 Camaro that built a lifelong relationship between a former NFL linebacker and a cop; and a love of class cars that grew into a "family affair."

"A Time for Healing" (10:30pm): Classic cars move people in unexpected ways: in Nashville, a couple of neighbors who didn't speak until a car spoke for them; in San Francisco, a convertible Chevelle bonded a clothing tycoon and an electrician to fight Asian hate.

After a one-year break, UNITED WE DRIVE returned with two new episodes on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 10-11pm on FYI:

"Family Affair" (10pm): Whether it's family, friends or community, the love of classic cars bring people together like they never could have imagined: a vo-tech school created in honor of a fallen car club member, a stolen truck that brought an entire community together, a family rooted in generations of working with their hands to bring cars back to life or a lifelong friendship formed around a warehouse of classic cars; these stories show that a true passion for cars can unite anyone.

"Gas & Go for the Soul" (10:30pm): Fathers creating an unbreakable bond with their sons by handing down a love of classics; unlikely friendships leading to life lessons; diving into the longest car show in the southeast; a therapy ride.
