Plot Synopsis

After retiring from the police force and volunteering at a retirement home, Carrie Wells is convinced by her ex-boyfriend Al to return to the NYPD and solve cases using her special ability to remember everything. Actress Marilu Henner, who has super autobiographical memory, is a consultant for UNFORGETTABLE. Carrie suffers from hyperthymesia, giving her a superior autobiographical memory so that she remembers everything she's ever done, said, seen or heard -- everything except for the day her sister was murdered. Even though she uses her affliction to excel as a detective, her condition has ruined many personal relationships, including her relationship with Al when they worked together in Syracuse. In Season 1, Al leads a group of NYPD detectives -- Mike, Roe and Nina -- and brought in Carrie, first as a consultant and later as a full-time member of his team. Throughout the first season, Carrie's memory helped her and Al close a staggering number of murder cases, which caught the eye of Eliot Delson, head of the Major Crimes Section of the NYPD. Carrie and Al agreed to leave Queens to join Eliot's team in Manhattan for Season 2, which premiered on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT on CBS. As part of the move, Carrie forced Eliot to bring on Joanne Webster, a brilliant medical examiner well-known for her acerbic personality. Less than two month after its Season 2 finale, UNFORGETTABLE returned for its third season on June 29, 2014 on CBS on a new night and time: Sundays at 10pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "New Hundred," the Secret Service enlists Carrie and Al's help when a murder investigation leads them to uncover a counterfeiting ring run by an assassin. The Season 3 premiere introduces Agent Simms (Boris Kodjoe), who will be a recurring character, appearing again as early as the third episode of the new season.

UNFORGETTABLE returned for its 13-episode fourth season with back-to-back episodes on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 8-10pm ET/PT on A&E. In the premiere episode, the enigmatic Carrie Wells is on a career high, making headlines as New York's most decorated cop. Reveling in her recent successes prove to be short-lived for Carrie. Armed with her unique ability and backed up by those she trusts the most, Carrie faces some of the most challenging cases of her career this season. This season the Major Crimes team gets a makeover with newcomers Alani "La La" Anthony as flashy medical examiner Delina Michaels; Kathy Najimy as Captain Sandra Russo, the team's new boss; and E.J. Bonilla as young, wisecracking Detective "Denny" Padilla who has a penchant for Carrie, much to the dismay of Al. Additional players that shake up Carrie and Al's world include Skeet Ulrich as Carrie's mysterious long-lost husband Eddie Martin and comedienne Rachel Dratch as Rosie Webb, the patience-testing star witness in a high-profile securities fraud case whom Carrie and Al are tasked with safely delivering to Miami. Finally, Grammy Award-winner Ashanti appears as Stella, a gorgeous jazz singer caught up in the underbelly of NYC's music scene, who catches the eye of Al. Series regular James Hiroyuki Liao returns.
