Plot Synopsis
Nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Short-Format Animated Program three years before its series premiere, UNCLE GRANDPA is a 15-minute animated series about everyone's magical uncle and grandpa who travels around the world in a mystical RV, going on wacky adventures wherever his vehicle lands. His mission is to help people however, wherever, and whenever -- whether they need it or not. Sometimes being his voice of reason and other times encouraging him to embark on even more fantastical adventures, this bunch of eclectic characters joins Uncle Grandpa on his travels: Belly Bag, a talking fanny pack, who is his right-hand man; Mr. Gus, a dinosaur man Uncle Grandpa rescued as a tiny egg; Pizza Steve, an egotistical slice of pizza that wears sunglasses; and Giant Realistic Flying Tiger, a realistic-looking tiger that flies, leaving a rainbow trail behind it, like a nyan cat. UNCLE GRANDPA returned for its second season on Thursday, August 20, 2014 from 7:30-8pm ET/PT on Cartoon Network with back-to-back new episodes. In the Season 2 opener, "Bezt Friends," Uncle Grandpa goes to extreme measures to become Pizza Steve's best friend. Then, in the night's second new episode, "Ballin'," Uncle Grandpa, Pizza Steve, and Mr. Gus must win a basketball game against a super awesome b-ball crew in order to keep the RV. Plus, earlier that day Cartoon Network aired a nine-hour marathon (9am-6pm) of encore episodes from the first season.
