Plot Synopsis

Richard Hammond and Julia Bradbury travel around the world to host this live, three-week, global wildlife event, which follows the real life and death struggles of baby animals that try to survive the most challenging month of the year. From Kenya, Richard reports on dramatic stories of lions and elephants, while Julia reports from North America on bears, whales and otters. Plus, there will also be reports from Sri Lanka, South Africa and other parts of the world, as they get updates on the lives of meerkats, monkeys and other animals, and reveal how the field teams stay so close to the action. Nat Geo Wild aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 9pm ET, one day after it first aired in the UK as a live program.
