Plot Synopsis

This four-episode reality series follows Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38 KOs) and Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39 KOs) as they prepare for "Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4," a non-title welterweight fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on December 8, 2012. This bout is a non-championship fight because Pacquiao lost his WBO welterweight title to Timothy Bradley in a controversial split-decision loss in June 2012, while Marquez vacated his WBO junior welterweight title to fight Pacquiao. Since both boxers are considered elite, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) elected to have the two fighters compete for the WBO Champion of the Decade belt. Pacquiao, the Philippines' most famous citizen, is surrounding himself with a trusted contingent of family and friends as he works at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood with longtime trainer Freddie Roach. Marquez begins his preparations in the familiar surroundings of Mexico City, again trained by Nacho Beristain. In their three previous meetings, Marquez and Pacquiao battled to a draw in their first fight, a controversial featherweight bout in May 2004; four years later on March 15, 2008, Marquez lost his super featherweight championship to Pacquiao via split decision; and last year Pacquiao won their WBO welterweight title bout in a majority decision in November 2011.
