Plot Synopsis

This reality series follows Floyd Mayweather, Jr. (42-0, 26 KOs) and Miguel 'Junito' Cotto (37-2, 30 KOs) as they prepare for their Cinco de Mayo Showdown at the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 5, 2012. Mayweather, the current WBC welterweight champion and five-division world champion with seven world titles, last fought in September 2011 with a controversial TKO over Victor Ortiz, who leaned in for a hug after a break in the fight due to a head butt and was rewarded with a knockout blow to the head. Now, Mayweather puts his undefeated record on the line as he prepares for the second fight of his career in this weight class -- in his first bout, Mayweather fought at 154 pounds and won the 2008 WBC title with a twelve-round split decision over Oscar de la Hoya in May 2007. Cotto, the 31-year-old WBA junior middleweight champion, won his title in June 2010 against Yuri Foreman after moving up a weight division following his loss to Manny Pacquiao in November 2009 in a WBO welterweight title fight. Most recently in December 2011, Cotto found redemption with a TKO over Antonio Margarito, who dealt Cotto his first professional loss.
