Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by series stars Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong and series creator Lisa Hanawalt, TUCA & BERTIE is a half-hour animated comedy series that centers on the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca, a cocky, care-free toucan; and Bertie, an anxious, daydreaming songbird. The series opens with the end of an era -- Bertie's boyfriend, Speckles, moves in and her best friend Tuca moves out...into the apartment right above her. Soon after, Bertie wants to climb the ladder at Conde Nest but encounters sexual harassment. Enter Tuca with a plan to help her BFF get what she wants. While Tuca's out on a hot date with her crush, Bertie tries to spice things up at home -- with a little bird porn. On Friday, May 3, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix premiered the 10-episode first season of TUCA & BERTIE.

The sophomore season of TUCA & BERTIE premiered on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 11:30pm ET/PT on adult swim. Bertie is busy excavating her inner ghouls with the help of a therapist, while Tuca prefers to stuff hers behind the toilet. She'll deal with them later, right now she's just too busy trying not to be single anymore! Meanwhile, Speckle is building a new house but soon finds he's driven to the brink of insanity...good thing he's just a cartoon.

Season 3 of TUCA & BERTIE debuted on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Midnight ET/PT on adult swim with back-to-back new episodes. This season, Tuca is dating someone new. Will this relationship bear fruit? Bertie has a new boss. Will they be sweet or salty? Speckle is also going through some stuff! In addition to Justina Machado, Matthew Rhys, Nico Santos and Janelle James, this season's voice guest stars will include Maria Bamford, Paget Brewster, Nicole Byer, Margaret Cho, Kether Donohue, Cole Escola, Victoria Moroles, Randall Park, and Paul F. Tompkins, among others.
