Plot Synopsis
Using military-grade GPS trackers, x-rays, specialized photography and cat cameras to follow 100 cats in three different environments in Brighton city center, Liz Bonnin presents results of a groundbreaking scientific study with the world's top cat experts: Professor Alan Wilson and Professor John Hutchinson of the Royal Veterinary College, Dr. John Bradshaw and Dr. Rachel Casey of the University of Bristol, and Dr. Sarah Ellis of the University of Lincoln. This three-part series explores how a cat learns to function as a wild animal in a domestic world; the extraordinary ways in which cats are able to use their senses to interpret their environment; and the remarkable feline skill of inter-species communication and co-operation. Six months after this series debuted as CAT WATCH 2014: THE NEW HORIZON EXPERIMENT on BBC Two in Fall 2014, Nat Geo Wild aired the U.S. premiere of the program -- with the new title THE TRUTH ABOUT CATS -- on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT.
