Plot Synopsis
Shot in Nashville inside her kitchen, country superstar and cookbook author Trisha Yearwood cooks her family-inspired recipes and favorite Southern meals with friends and family as they swap stories. Plus, Trisha reveals her unique how-to tips and techniques -- and maybe she even sings a song. In this series, Trisha welcomes: her sister and Uncle Wilson, who stop by for a family reunion and pitch in to create some of their favorite barbecue, including Trisha's daddy's barbecue chicken, her Uncle Wilson's famous sweet grilled vidalia onions wrapped in bacon, and key lime cake for dessert; her sister and niece, who help Trisha prepare her grandmother's best Southern recipes -- Grandma Paulk's chicken and dumplings, deviled eggs and Grandma Yearwood's coconut cake with coconut lemon glaze; the guys from her band, who help Trisha throw a baby shower for their tour manager by creating country quiche, cheese straws and brownies topped with coconut frosting; her girlfiend, Karri, a southern girl living in California, who enjoys Southern classics -- crock-pot mac and cheese, her Mama's fried chicken With gravy and pecan pie for dessert; her nephews, who learn to make their granddaddy's famous Brunswick stew recipe, her drop biscuit recipe, and Sweet and Saltines for dessert; and a group of Trisha's best girlfriends, known as "Gwen's Girls," who help Trisha create Georgia pate (aka Redneck hummus), cook up chickless pot pie and re-create the wedding cake that Trisha's mama made for her wedding to Garth.
