Plot Synopsis

First discovered at a talent show by record producer Troy Taylor, Trey Songz -- whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson -- has been singing since he was 14-years-old and has released three studio albums ("I Gotta Make It," "Trey Day" and "Ready"). Now ready to make his fourth album, this series chronicles the life and music of this young Grammy nominee as he navigates the choppy waters that separate mere success from greatness. First, he joins Young Jeezy and hip-hop icon Jay-Z on the road for the Blue Print 3 Tour, experiencing the pressures of what it takes to really make it -- the stress of performing night after night, sound checks, press events, industry meetings, after parties, and the internal struggles between him and his team. When the tour ends, Trey struggles to harness BP3's momentum into a moving current of energy that he can ride all the way to superstardom. This series also shows compelling and provocative interviews with the artist himself and those who are close to him. Every episode explores a landmark event from Trey's past -- where he came from, how he developed, who he has become -- drawing a line from his first talent show to the BP3 concert stage and beyond. BET aired a sneak peek of the series on Sunday, June 27 at 10pm, immediately following the BET Awards.
