Plot Synopsis

Featuring stories of life and death, TRAUMA DOCTORS is a one-hour series that takes an inside look at the work of London's trauma doctors who perform life-saving procedures at one of the UK's leading trauma centers, transforming a patient's chance of survival. Conducting on-the-spot investigations, these specialists use all available clues to make critical, split-second decisions that just might save their patients' lives. In the premiere episode, doctors perform a blood transfusion on the side of the road after a woman is hit by a truck; then, the doctors transport a man who fell 15 feet from his ladder and may have a collapsed lung. Discovery Life aired the U.S. premiere of TRAUMA DOCTORS on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT as part of the cable channel's "ER Week," a week-long programming stunt giving viewers behind-the-scenes access to emergency rooms across the country.
