Plot Synopsis

TRAPPED is a one-hour mystery series that focuses on the investigation after dismembered body is found in fishing nets just as a ferry approaches a small Icelandic town. The town's police chief concludes that the torso is linked to someone on the ferry, and orders all crew and passengers to remain on the boat until the crime team from Reykjavik arrives following a blizzard. The investigation continues with multiple twists and turns, including a captain who shuts off the ship's heat to release the passengers, an escape by a passenger who is wanted for human trafficking, his prisoners onboard, and the torso which goes missing -- only to reappear in a post on Twitter. Viceland aired the U.S. premiere of TRAPPED on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 10pm ET. Before making its television debut on RUV in Iceland, TRAPPED was screened at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2015.
