Plot Synopsis

This reality dating series follows son-mother matchmakers, Steven and JoAnn Ward, as they help a group of women find love by sending them through "Tough Love Boot Camp" to improve their unsuccessful dating habits. Each 60-minute episode focuses on a different aspect of relationships, such as first impressions and communication, and the boot camp pushes the women way outside their comfort zones. After each lesson, the women practice what they learned by going on dates with men that Steven hand picks for them. For Season 4, Steven's dating boot camp ventured into the city of temptation, New Orleans, with a new group of eight, single women who were in desperate need of a love life revamp. In Season 5, which debuted on VH1 on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, Steven and his sister, Monica, opened up boot camp to both men and women, as the four males and four females lived under the same roof. TOUGH LOVE is produced by Drew Barrymore's Flower Films and High Noon Entertainment.
