Plot Synopsis
After six rounds of fan voting and hundreds of millions of votes, Fuse counts down the 40 hottest videos of 2014 over two 120-minute episodes, premiering at 8 & 10pm ET/PT on Saturday, November 29. For the first round, Fuse selected 40 songs, and fans voted for their favorite song amongst 20 pairs. The 20 winning songs advanced to Round 2, where fans voted for their fave for each of 10 different song pairs. The 10 winning songs advanced and Fuse selected six wildcard songs -- Ariane Grande "Problem" ft. Iggy Azalea; One Direction "Story of My Life"; Paramore "Ain't It Fun"; A Great Big World "Say Something" w/ Christina Aguilera; Jessie J "Bang Bang" w/ Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj; and 5 Seconds of Summer "She Looks So Perfect" -- which were the six songs receiving the most votes of those eliminated in the first two rounds. Fans voted for their fave song amongst eight pairs in Round 3 and four pairs in Round 4, with these four songs winning: Nicki Minaj "Anaconda" beating out Jason Derulo "Talk Dirty" ft. 2 Chainz; 5 Seconds of Summer "She Looks So Perfect" besting Pitbull "Timber" ft. Kesha; Katy Perry "Dark Horse" ft. Juicy J getting more votes than Jessie J "Bang Bang" w/ Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj; and Paramore "Ain't It Fun" getting the better of One Direction "Story of My Life." In the penultimate round of voting, fans selected 5 Seconds of Summer "She Looks So Perfect" over Nicki Minaj "Anaconda" and Katy Perry "Dark Horse" ft. Juicy J over Paramore "Ain't It Fun." Fan voting continued in Round 6, a blind-vote round, during which online voters could no longer see how many votes each song/artist received; the winner was revealed in this countdown.
