Plot Synopsis

In this four-part reality series, TOO YOUNG TO MARRY explores the relationships of four young couples who are determined to walk down the aisle with or without the blessing of their family and friends. With parents threatening to disown them, siblings accusing them of making the biggest mistake of their lives, and friends pulling them in opposite directions, these young lovers must battle the odds to prove that age is just a number and love is all that matters. Bradley and Shanice, an interracial couple, began dating in high school and with their wedding only a few weeks away, they discover they need parental consent in order for the ceremony to be valid. Bradley's mother then boldly disrupts their wedding ceremony, leaving Shanice in tears at the altar. Same-sex couple Angel and Kevin are ready to tie the knot, but Angel's mother disapproves of his decision to marry so young and struggles with the fact that her son is gay. The couple must ultimately decide if they are ready to get married, especially when they're faced with a shocking indiscretion that may derail their engagement. Jurnee and Don are cut-off financially by parents who declare they haven't earned the maturity to marry, and the couple threatens to call off their engagement the night before the wedding. Nick and Cailyn's engagement nearly implodes after Nick's mom learns they set a wedding date without her knowledge, and when the couple plans their wedding behind Nick's mom's back, she sets off an emotional firestorm between future in-laws that leaves the couple's future together in limbo.
