Plot Synopsis

TO HAVE & TO HOLD: CHARLOTTE is a one-hour reality series that follows the real challenges couples face, from financial stress, to issues with intimacy, to the ups and downs of parenthood. The tight-knit couples like to let loose and have fun, and while these passionate and often opinionated friends may have their differences, they will ultimately do anything for each other. As marriages and friendships are put to the test, will they have the love and strength needed to thrive or will some of these relationships crack under the pressure? Couples include:

Ursula & Clinton: Clinton and Ursula (who were both previously divorced) gave love a second chance and have been married for 13 years. With their combined four children all grown and out of the house, these empty nesters are ready to reclaim their relationship. But as they figure out their own definition of "the good life," Clinton (a senior IT architect) is content with whiskey and cigars while Ursula -- who was a teenage mom and recently became a nurse practitioner -- is ready to fulfill her own dreams.

Tyywadi & David: Tyyawadi and David have been married for 11 years and have a loving, caring relationship. But lately, they've been going through a very rough patch. Raising two young children while balancing demanding careers -- Tyyawdi is a district court judge and David is a transactional attorney -- has taken the spark out of their romance. At a crossroads, this power couple is taking a deep look inward to answer tough questions about their future -- together or apart.

Peter, Josh & Juliana: After eight years together, IT specialist Josh and PR consultant Peter are finally considering marriage to make things official -- but it's complicated. Josh is divorced and has two children with his ex-wife, Juliana. Together, this "modern family" is raising the kids and trying to live their best lives. But while they try to respect each other's boundaries, sometimes three's a crowd.

Alane & Yandrick: Alane, a hair stylist, and Yandrick, a senior consultant and entrepreneur, have been married for 15 years. They have four children and are constantly juggling the difficult demands of family and their careers. The pulse of Charlotte's social scene, they are connectors, always have a full calendar and are the nucleus of their large circle of friends.

Christine & Darhyl: Christine, a senior communications consultant, and Darhyl, a wealth manager, have been married for 10 years and seemingly hae it all -- from their 6,000 square foot lake home to fancy cars to every other bell and whistle two successful 30-somethings could dream of. But there's once thing that's missing. While Darhyl wants to start a family, Christine isn't quite ready to settle down. No doubt, all of this "baby talk" is clouding their future.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network debuted a sneak-peek episode of the series, which had its official premiere four days later on Saturday, June 1 at 10pm. In the series opener, "All That Glitters Isn't Gold," Alane and Yandrick plan a party, but the budget forces them to acknowledge their weakening financial situation; Tyyawdi and David are on the road to separation; Darhyl pushes Christine to start a family, but she isn't ready to give up her lifestyle.

On Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network premiered "Popping Off," the season finale of TO HAVE & TO HOLD: CHARLOTTE. Alane accuses Tyyawdi of giving up too soon on her marriage and invites Juliana over to resolve their differences. Peter answers Josh's proposal. And when Darhyl and Christine see a fertility doctor, their conflict about when to have children reignites.
