Plot Synopsis

Each one-hour episode of TO CATCH A KILLER allows viewers to step inside the mind of one detective, as law enforcement hunts down a ruthless murderer. The stories unfold as an epic game of cat-and-mouse, leading to the bombshell moment when these two adversaries on opposite sides of the law come together. Investigation Discovery debuted a sneak-peek episode on Monday, September 3, 2018 at 6pm ET/PT, as part of the cable network's inaugural Labor Day programming event, an "All DeLong Day" marathon. Ten days later on Thursday, September 13 at 10pm, ID aired the official series premiere. In the series opener, "The Monkey on My Back," after a chance meeting brings New York State Police Investigator Jim Horton face-to-face with infamous burglar Gary Evans, he doesn't realize that he's made a friend for life. But is this bond between two adversaries built on trust -- or treachery?
