Plot Synopsis

Adapted from the cult classic movie by the same name and created for television by Jemaine Clement, Iain Morris and Taika Waititi, TIME BANDITS is a 10-episode fantasy dramedy that follows 11-year-old Kevin, whose passion for history is put to the test when he joins a ragtag group of time-traveling thieves. Together they set out on a thrilling quest to save the boy's parents -- and the world. Guided by Penelope, the eccentric crew of bandits embark on epic adventures while evil forces threaten their conquests and life as they know it. As the group is transported through time and space, the gang stumbles upon fascinating worlds of the distant past while seeking out treasure, depending on Kevin to shed light on each situation. The "Time Bandits" witness the creation of Stonehenge, see the Trojan Horse in action, escape dinosaurs in the prehistoric age, wreak havoc during medieval times, experience the Ice Age, ancient civilizations and the Harlem Renaissance, and much more along the way. TIME BANDITS debuted with two episodes on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 on Apple TV+, which released two new installments weekly on Wednesdays through August 21.

On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, Apple TV+ released two episodes to close out the first season of TIME BANDITS:

"Pell-Mell": The gang sets out to find the missing piece of the Map. Kevin comes face-to-face with the Supreme Being, who offers a tempting deal.

"Fortress of Darkness": Despite impossible odds, Kevin, Saffron, and the Bandits venture into the Fortress of Darkness to save Kevin's parents.
