Plot Synopsis

This dark comedy anthology delves into fantasy and the unknown. Adult Swim first aired TIM AND ERIC'S BEDTIME STORIES as a 30-minute special at midnight ET/PT on Halloween 2013 (October 31, 2013). In this Halloween special, "Haunted House," Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim and guest Zach Galifianakis are elated to learn their grandfather has left them money in his will. However, there's a catch. In order to collect the money, they must live in his haunted mansion for the rest of their lives. The day before the Halloween special, Adult Swim announced it picked up the program as a quarter-hour series, and that TIM AND ERIC'S BEDTIME STORIES would have its series premiere in Spring 2014, but the series didn't have it's official series premiere until Fall 2014. Adult Swim aired the series premiere of TIM AND ERIC'S BEDTIME STORIES at 12:15am ET/PT late night Thursday, September 18 (actually, early morning Friday, September 19, 2014 since it's after midnight). In the series premiere, "Hole," Dennis Murphy is new to the neighborhood and clashes with his next door neighbor. The following week, Dr. Stork draws attention with his successful toe clipping practice in the "Toes" episode. Later in the season, Tim's character tries selling his music DVD in "Angel Boy," and the guys try to make Irish coffee in "Roommates." Many episodes in the first season star Tim and Eric, but some do feature guest stars like John C. Reilly, Bob Odenkirk, Jason Schwartzman, M. Emmet Walsh, Laurie Metcalf, Lauren Cohan, and more. On Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:30pm ET/PT, Adult Swim premiered "Sauce Boy," a 30-minute special of TIM AND ERIC'S BEDTIME STORIES, which features a shady character (Heidecker) helping Gary Royce (Wareheim) overcome a strange addiction -- for a price. This episode was written, directed by, and stars Heidecker and Wareheim, James Madio, and Johnny "Roast Beef" Williams.

TIM AND ERIC'S BEDTIME STORIES returned for its second season on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from Midnight-12:30am ET/PT, as Adult Swim debuted back-to-back episodes. The season opener, "Baklava," centers on a piano salesman who has a boss with a deadly obsession for baklava.
