Plot Synopsis

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, Arthur, an accountant with mental health issues and zero powers, comes to suspect his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover the conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero, The Tick, who just might be a figment of his imagination. They launch into an adventure brimming with crazed archvillains, blood-soaked vigilantes, and superhuman freakery. Based on the comic-book character of the same name created by Ben Edlund, THE TICK is a half-hour comedy series that first debuted on August 15, 2016 when Amazon released the pilot episode. More than one year later -- on Friday, August 24, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT -- Amazon released the first six episodes of THE TICK. On Friday, February 23, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Amazon released the next six episodes of the first season of THE TICK. In the mid-season premiere, "Tale from the Crypt," Arthur has a surprising encounter while in The Terror's lair. The Tick attempts a rescue with Dot and Overkill. Then, in the second new episode, "After Midnight," Arthur, Dot, and Overkill try to get a message to Superian, with the help of a retired hero.

Season 2 of THE TICK premiered on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon Prime released all 10 half-hour episodes of the new season. Tick and Arthur have freed the City from The Terror. Now they must defend it from new villains and old enemies. That is...if they can convince AEGIS, the government agency in charge of superhero regulation, that they deserve the job. But now that the City is 'safe enough to protect' Tick and Arthur begin to see they've got competition...

In the season opener, "Lesson One: Think Quick!," Tick and Arthur go on their first patrol of The City, battle a bank robbing monstrosity, and attract the attention of AEGIS. Dot has a weird day. She and Overkill have a few drinks and compare plights.
