Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Lena Waithe and creator Little Marvin, THEM is a terror anthology series that focuses on a different horror story each season.

Season 1 of THEM -- also known as the "Covenant" installment -- is set in the 1950s and centers on a Black family who moves from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood (Compton) during the period known as The Great Migration. Henry and Lucky Emory's idyllic home becomes ground zero where malevolent forces, next-door and otherworldly, threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them. On Friday, April 9, 2021 Amazon Prime released the entire 10-episode first season.

THEM: THE SCARE, the second installment, is again set in Los Angeles, but moves the time frame forward to 1991. The story centers on LAPD Homicide Detective Dawn Reeve, who is assigned to a new case: the gruesome murder of a foster home mother that has left even the most hardened detectives shaken. Navigating a tumultuous time in Los Angeles, with a city on the razor's edge of chaos, Dawn is determined to stop the killer. But as she draws closer to the truth, something ominous and malevolent grips her and her family. All eight episodes of THEM: THE SCARE dropped on Thursday, April 25, 2024 on Prime Video.
