Plot Synopsis

TEENAGE NEWLYWEDS is a one-hour reality series that follows three young couples as they take a leap of love and transition from teen sweethearts to husband and wife. The series captures their weddings and all the ups and downs of juggling family, school, career, finances and first homes, while still navigating life as a teenager. Halie and George, both members of the Mormon Church, met while he was a missionary and were engaged after only a few short months of dating. In addition to planning a wedding, Halie will be packing up her home in Arizona and moving to a new apartment with George in Utah. Brenda and Travis were set-up on a blind date while attending college at the University of California, Irvine, and sparks flew immediately, despite clashing beliefs and values. Travis is a devout Christian and enjoys sharing his beliefs with his friends and fellow classmates; Brenda was raised as a Jehovah's Witness but left the faith earlier in her teens. Small-town high school sweethearts Emma and Joey have vastly different career aspirations, but are determined to make their marriage work. Emma is a full-time student and works part time at a restaurant; Joey works full-time at a retail store and does not have plans to go back to school. TEENAGE NEWLYWEDS had its online premiere on Thursday, May 26, 2016 -- five days before its linear premiere on FYI on Tuesday, May 31 at 10pm ET/PT.

On Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, FYI premiered the Season 1 finale of TEENAGE NEWLYWEDS. In the season ender, the couple's differences come to a head, and they must make some important decisions together. Halie and George decide whether or not to move back to Arizona. Brenda and Travis decide which moral values are right for their family. Emma and Joey determine if counseling is the best next step for their relationship.
